The American Western Watch collection is a limited-production issue of handcrafted timepieces inspired by Ralph Lauren's love of the American West and captures the authentic spirit and individual character of the vintage rodeo and concho belts Mr. Lauren wears, which often influence his designs. Cast in antiqued sterling silver, this model is a full hunter pocket watch with a 50 mm by 14 mm case. The cover features a unique floral motif incorporating two types of engraving techniques, an antiqued rose gold "RL" logo and a steer head detail cast from a hand-carved mould and set with ruby eyes – an allusion to the artistry of vintage Western rodeo buckles. It is powered by a mechanical manual-winding calibre RL98295 movement, running at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, featuring 18 jewels with an approximate 45-hour power reserve. This rarified collector's piece is accented with a vintage-inspired off-white dial hand-printed with Roman and Arabic numerals – a combination distinctive to the Ralph Lauren brand – and completed by Breguet-style hands.
