RL x Tyler Glasses Brea Euro Sham

Ralph Lauren Home proudly presents the debut collection from our Artist in Residence programme, reflecting an evolved design approach with the artisans and communities that inspire us. This special collaboration with siblings Naiomi Glasses and Tyler Glasses – both seventh-generation Diné (Navajo) weavers – honours Navajo heritage and centuries-old traditions. It includes fabrics, floor coverings, textiles and decorative accessories inspired by the beauty of their homelands on Dinetah (Navajo Nation) and the weaving practice they learned from their late grandmother, the notable artist Nellie Glasses. The Euro sham Tyler designed for this collection is woven from wool and cotton yarns to create subtle variegated stripes – a nod to the rock formations on Navajo Nation, including the landscape that can be seen from his family's home. It features an eye dazzler diamond framed with four-directional crosses, which, along with the number four, carry great significance in Navajo tradition as well as in other Native communities. They reference the Earth’s four directions and the stars.
