A PLAID STYLE GUIDE
When two of our favorite seasons collide—holiday and black tie—we start thinking about all the different ways plaid, including pieces from our Yankees™ collaboration, can be worked into the festive moment.
Polo and plaid—is there anything quite so synonymous, especially at this time of year? The key to what makes it look so good starts with the pattern and colors. We're fond of classic tartans that have been given a reinterpretation—in scale or palette, and often both. The other key is surprise. You can live according to the rules or creatively break them. Here, we put together a few looks, from the formal to the casual, following one of Ralph's favorite principles of style: subtle contradiction.
